-
Why use RTHM Fund?We provide a highly specialized service, offering personalized assistance, backed by an extensive knowledge encompassing both the intricacies of the music industry and the complexities of finance. Our team will engage in comprehensive research with a wide range of royalty investors, ensuring we secure the most optimal agreement, tailored to your specific requirements.
-
What is a royalty investor and how does it work?A royalty investor offers a cash advance in exchange for a share of your streaming royalties. They collect a pre-agreed percentage until the advance is recouped. You keep 100% ownership of your masters and all other income streams (publishing, sync, merch, etc.). There are no repayments, no interest, and it doesn’t affect your credit—it’s not a loan.
-
What is a recoup percentage? The recoup percentage is the percentage of your streaming revenue that will be used to pay back to the royalty investor your advance until they have been repaid for their initial investment.
-
Is this a loan? This is not a loan; it will have no impact on your credit score. You are not obligated to make any other payments during the term of the deal.
-
What's the catch? There is no catch. There is no obligation to sign the deal and our team will provide you with your deal consultation for free. Your streaming revenue will be temporarily owned by the royalty investor for the agreed-upon contract term.
-
What if I don’t repay my advance in the term?At RTHM FUND, most artists fulfill their repayment by the end of the agreed term, and often even sooner. Our deal structures are built around that expectation. If your royalties fall short of repaying the full amount within the term, we’ll keep collecting until the original advance is fully recouped—without adding fees, interest, or penalties. You’ll never owe more than what you agreed to.
-
What if I’m working with an indie label or artist services company I trust? Can I still receive funding from RTHM FUND?If you’re working with an indie label or artist services company you trust—and they believe in you too—you can absolutely still receive funding from RTHM FUND. We value the role these partners play in helping artists grow. As long as they’re open to collaboration, we can structure a deal that includes them. If their support helps elevate your career, it benefits everyone involved, including the investors we work with. Our goal is to create win-win funding arrangements that support both you and your team.
-
What if I get a major label offer during my term that I just can’t turn down?No problem—we’re not here to stand in your way. RTHM FUND’s standard agreements include a pre-set buyout option that allows you to exit early if a major opportunity arises. The buyout amount is calculated using a clear, upfront formula based on how much you’ve already repaid, the revenue your music has earned during the term, and how much time remains. No surprises, no back-and-forth—just flexibility built to support your growth.
-
Do you fund Labels and Distributors?Yes.
-
Am I eligible for funding on tracks where I’m only a featured artist or collaborator?Often, yes. We just need to confirm the percentage of master royalties you’re entitled to on each song and ensure we’re set up with the distributor that handles the payouts.
